hi, thanks for reading. .ive had a very odd fault on two parts of these speakers, my son was getting shocks when he touched his MacBook Air or mic or his audio interface, when he was at the same time touching his guitar which was plugged into his amp, his setup is quite straight forward. cr5x monitors.

Patching a phone into a Mackie board in V/O booth

Hi, all! I'm a tech-challenged home voice-over guy. I have a Mackie board in the booth with me, but the phantom power for my mic actually comes from a separate Grace Design mic preamp outside. For "old school" phone patch, is there a way to connect either a corded phone directly, or via a Gentner MicroTel box, into the Mackie mixer for two way phone conversation with a client?

Have an older Mackie analog 8 Bus 8x2x2 board that has random computer noise occurring. Little 1/2 to 3 seconds of random frequencies, very low volume, but showing up on 1-2 LED segments across all 8 channel meters and the L/R as well. Definitely something internal to the board or external power supply. Not coming from any specific channel or inputs (have muted/disconnected everything.

Need help with setup for Mackie 24*8 mixer and Tascam interface

Hi folks,
I'm in the process of putting my home studio together, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting two-way communication between my Mackie 24*8 bus mixing board, and a Tascam US-16x08.
I have limited experience with mixing boards, but a friend sold me the Mackie for "an offer I couldn't refuse".

Is Mackie worth the cheap price?

I'm looking at getting an audio mixing board and want to spend no more than $200. At first I was going to get a Behringer 1204x with USB. However reading reviews and fourm entries I decided against it. Currently, I see the Mackie Pro-FX8 mixer. It offers all the features and more than the Behringer for the same price.
