We are a house of worship and need to install a wireless microphone system. At this time we have two Shure wireless mics/receivers that we want to retire and two newer Sennheiser systems.

Best microphone for my budget and purposes?
Forums
Hey, I recently decided to get some passable recording equipment, so I got a Focusrite saffire interface. Of course, it's completely useless without and equally passable microphone.
I'm going to be recording some pop songs. I don't have a very smooth voice, but it's not really harsh either.

Microphone Position to Reduce Ssssss
Forums
Hello I am recording using an mxl 909 condenser mic connected to a samson c-valve preamp. I think my vocal tracks sound good overall but I am getting terrible and annoying "sss" sounds everytime I say a word that begins with the letter S. I'm recording rap vocals.

Anyone know where I can buy a mic lead for an old Shure 545 I have. It's a four pin screw type connection.
Thanks

Microphone for soft vocals
Forums
So here's my situation:
I've been using a cheap $30 computer mic for recording and finally decided to use buy a real mic. I also own two mics which I used for live performances (Sennheiser e838 and e835), and I should mention that I've never actually tried recording with them.

Online Microphone Placement Calculator
Forums
A while ago (a few months?) someone posted a link to an online calculator that would create contour plots on different microphone configurations.
You could input the type of pattern on the microphone, the angle, and the position. It would graph the power as a contour plot, as well as show the left to right balance and a number of other statistics.
