I know this is a loaded question. Is there a starting point for settings using Multi Band compression?
Typical Attack and release settings for Low band Mid band high band etc.
I know it varies but, is there a good starting point?

Why do you very pro mastering guys hate multiband compression so much?
I am doing junior mastering and all I can do is upgrade to the next step which is Waves Master bundle, etc etc.
Also, why are the high mids the most colored after multiband compression? Yes, I have tested it with other sources and with different mixing engineers.

About the only black box I don't have much of a handle on is multiband dynamics processing.
Everything else, I know what I'm looking for, and can pretty confidently dial in the sound I hear in my head. Can anyone recommend a source to help me learn how to get the most out of this process?
