Has anyone know well how to set up the buffers in Nuendo? There is an option to detect the buffers size, but I am not sure if I should use it. How will the buffer size affect my recordings?
I am using a PIV 2.4, 512 RAM, 40 GB 7200rpm HD, Nuendo 1.6 with a Tascam US-428. The OS is Win2000 Server

o... I work in a big huge studio with a Neve and an API... lots of outboard gear... yet I find myself doing more and more in the box. I have been recording into Radar and importing WAV files into Pro Tools and mixing in PT LE. I have totally hit the wall... time for a serious upgrade. I really can't justify spending 20g on a new Pro Tools rig just so I can run more tracks.

I have an optical connection from my PCI card (Nuendo 96/52) to my ADAT XT. I'm trying to send 8 channels of digitial audio to the ADAT.

I have two questions.

I was wondering what the difference is between Nuendo and Cubase SX? If I don't do any video, do I even need Nuendo or is Cubase SX fine? Also, is there any major difference between Cubase SX and SX 2.0? The reason I ask is because the Guitar Center near me has Cubase SX on sale right now for $299. Thanks.

Gday Guys, I'm from Australia, and work in a studio using a TDM Pro Tools setup, but I want to build a studio for home/on location work, and i was wondering, i have a pc and mixer, plus Nuendo, but what would be the better setup; hardware/software wise? Digi002 with LE software, or MOTU 828mk2 with Nuendo, or an Events Layla with Nuendo?

How do you setup 001 to show up in vst connection on
nuendo? mac g4 it only shows built-in sound i will like to use my digi 001 hardware. I have Nuendo 2.1.10 for apple mac G4. .it works on everything else apple system output...etc

OK, I finally took the plunge and upgraded to Nuendo 2.0.1 up from 1.5.2. I am pleased with the sound quality, but the new layout is throwing me a bit. I am using a Nuendo/RME Digiset for my soundcard and am using ADAT light pipe to transfer from my Yamaha AW4416. To transfer tracks to Nuendo, I used to have to designate inputs.

What do you guys think about Nuendo and Protools. I currently work with Pro Tools 6.1 and looking to get into a Euphonix Sytem 5. It now interfaces directly with Nuendo. Is it worth the switch? What are the differences that I'll notice?
