My company, MAG General Contracting, Inc. has been selling acoustical wall panels for over 8 years in the Atlanta area and are now going to offer the wall panels, at a substantial discount till the end of August, to anyone in the lower 48. These are 2" thick -2'x4' Owens Corning 703 rigid fiberglass with beveled and hardened edges.

The sound I'm looking for is a very tight metal distortion.

I'm wondering if it will be beneficial to surround the 12" x 4 speaker box I'm using with acoustic panels, creating a sort of closed space for the microphone.

I'm using Peavey JSX 120w head and I have a couple of high-endguitars with humbuckers.

Wow, I am new to this forum and never thought foam and panel traps could create so much "excitement".

Anyway - I am looking to treat a basement studio (15X40, app. 8 foot drywall ceilings) and feel that the foam corner absorbers offer the best bang for the buck in low frequency absorbtion.

I don't know if this is the right forum to discuss this, but it has to do with studio design, and in particular, decorating!

They also have the rigid tubes of fiberglass- 10"- $2.54/L.F. and 14"- $3.35/L.F. (like an ASC Tube Trap) Easy to make your own traps and treatments.

I just located some 701 fiberglass for sound control. Cost- about $1.60 for a 2'x4'x1.5" piece. As far as I know, thats a great price. BUT: He'll only sell it in a pack of 30 :eek: . Way too much for my needs. Anyone around CLEVELAND (200 mile radius) want to split it with me?
