I owned this reel-to-reel machine from when I purchased it new years ago. I want to restore it.
One issue I'm having is when playing back recordings I'm not getting audio out of track one. The VU meter shows audio is present. Other tracks are fine.
If anyone can provide some tips to for finding the root cause of failure that would be appreciated.

My setup is Yamaha Mox6 connected thru USB to a Macbook OSX Lion up to date / Steinberg drivers up to date.

With the same setup using garage band I can record audio track by track, and listening to the previously recorded material through my Yamaha Mox audio interface

Using Magix Music Maker:

Midi playback skips and studders terribly, and says 100% of my cpu is used when I use multiple tracks with the synth. I know I have enough Ram and my processor is good. What I'm wondering is if the payback midi thats on my computer is causing this problem, and if getting a new soundcard with a better driver will fix this.

rrr I'm having a Frustrating time with this. I can't seem to figure out whats going wrong. Adobe Audition will playback through the Profire2626 for a few seconds and then just cut out. Through the windows sound drivers playback works just fine. What's happening?

I'm trying to use my laptop, Cubase SX3, and a Alesis USB mixer to record. So if I use just my mixer as the primary sound device (i have to disable it in the device manager to do this for some reason), everything records fine.

I am receiving static noise during multi-track session playback on 3 or 4 of the lead guitar tracks. When I mute all but one of the tracks, they play fine. When they're all combined, the static is present. I'm stumped.
