Help with using a powered mixer with a power amp

I have a Behringer PMP2000 powered mixer with 12" speakers (B212XL) and a Behringer EP 4000 Europower power amp with 15" speakers (B215XL). I want to use the powered mixer/12s for monitors and the power amp/15s for mains. I think this is possible but I'm not sure what cables I'll need and how exactly to hook it up.

Hello everyone!

I've been messing around with a small personal studio setup for about a year now. I started off using Audacity, and then picked up Pro Tools M-Powered Essentials with the 49 key MIDI keyboard. Lately, I've been very frustrated with the software, since it will only allow me to record two channels at a time.

I need something for remote recording where I dont have access to many power outlets. Id like something where I can do some decent recording.. USB interfaces dont have a ton of options when it comes to self powered. Something like the EMU 0404 is NOT bus powered.

Any suggestions, something that has phantom power, a decent pre, and a decent headphone amp?

I'm shopping around for a bus powered 2-channel firewire audio interface for my MacBook Pro. I currently own a M-Audio Delta 1010 that I'm very happy with. I've read everything I could find about the following 3 interfaces which I believe to be in my price range and offer what I'm looking for.

Apogee Duet $499

TC Elect. Konnekt 24D $399

Anybody used/ using QSC powered speakers?

Hi,

I like qsc's amps, really quite good bang for the buck and haven't had any issues. The sound company that may be doing the install in a black box theater in our school is recommending qsc's powered speakers.

Any real-life stories. I have heard them and think they would fit the bill, but I'm not sure on the track record.

Just a little confused as to what the phantom power actually does if I still need a preamp.

i'm using the cheapo mxl990/991 set of condensers, with a seperate phantom power supply, plugged in to a line 6 pod xt via XLR -> 1/4" adapter

the pod is plugged in to my macbook via usb

i found this thread while searching for a way to use a digital mixing console as a pro tools controller.

the thing is,that some time ago, i found an article where a guy was using a Yamaha 01v mixer as a controller for pro tools by tweaking the midi commands the faders generating to match those of the digidesign's "command 8".
