I currently own a PreSonus firestudio...a AKG perception 200...3 sm57's and a Shure beta 57. I can actually make a good mix since ive been recording for over 5 years...and am a junior in college for music industry. I think its time i step it up and get a good preamp. My question is. should i spend a grand or two on a single channel preamp? or a grand or two on a multi-channel preamp...

I'm new to adding preamps. So it'd be nice to get help

first off I have a Digi 003 rack and a motif xs8,fantom g8, access virus ti2, and a microKorg .

I hook up all my keyboards to the line inputs of the 003 rack.

I'm addicted to mic's and pre's. Even though this isn't English, I understood and found it worth posting. I wish more North American clips were available.

Any advice would be appreciated. After reading some negative reviews for the PreSonus Bluetube mic preamp, I decided against it. ART, do they make good preamps in your opinion? Thank-you.

Hoping somebody can shed some light on this, its got me confuddled.

Basically removing all other variables, I have a pair of Charter Oak M900 SD mics and one is acting strange.

They work fine (or seem to) when plugged directly into an RME Fireface, or a Ramsa digital mixing desk.

Hello everyone, I ask you for one piece of advice.
I need a mic preamp for RODE NTK. I would like to improve sound and reduce noise.
Does anyone know which mic preamp would work out well?
In view of finances, I am currently limited to a maximum of about $450 / 300 eur.
I have a sound card M Audio Firewire 410.

i am using a baby blue bottle for recording vocals and sm57/md421 for guitar cabs

if i can't have an api3124 ... whats a nice preamp for around $750-1000. most importantly for vocals and electric guitars

any suggestions?
