Description

The FireBox is a complete 24-Bit/96k personal recording studio combining two high quality PreSonus microphone/instrument preamplifiers, 24-Bit/96k sample rate and Steinberg's Cubase LE 48-track recording software.

The FireBox is the perfect hardware and software combination for a powerful professional-quality and compact computer-based studio.

The FireBox has the highest record/playback track count of its size with the ability to record six inputs and playback through ten outputs simultaneously all at pro-quality 24-bit/96kHz. Two ultra-low noise high-headroom microphone/instrument preamplifiers with 48V phantom power are on the front panel for quickly and easily connecting your favorite microphones and instruments.

The FireBox also includes a high quality stereo headphone output with volume adjustment on the front panel. The headphone output has its own two-channel driver stream which can be used as a separate stereo bus or two-channel output giving you the ability to send a "cue" mix to the headphone output and a main mix to the main output. We've got a PreSonus Firebox for some super non-technical users to quickly record some audio, then we have scripts that tag it, convert it to mp3, and upload it to a podcast.

All is well, except every time they close the Firebox control panel (such as when they shut down for the evening) they have to go back into the control panel and add the 12db to Mic 1.

Hi, i have two PreSonus fireboxes and I can't figure out how to link them together so I can have 4 mic inputs at my disposal. Is it possible? And if it is how can I do it?

I purchased a PreSonus firebox with Cubase LE 4, and I installed it on my windows vista OS, I got everything to work fine it's just that it seems that the input seems low, any tips on how to fix that and tips on how to use Cubase?

I am recording with the PreSonus Firebox and it sounds decent. I am sort of coming to the conclusion that AD converters contribute more to a truly professional sound than a preamp or mic once you overcome a certain ultra budget level. Basically, the first component I might want to upgrade are my converters and then go from there. Emu coverters seem to be of a higher quality than the Firebox.

Hello. Just got my sm57 and ready to buy a half decent interface. Pretty simple question.. what is better.. by how much.. why? The m audio seems to go for cheaper.. but maybe this is for a reason? Thanks in advanced! 8)

umm...first off, in Logic I'm not able to set the box as my recording device AND use my computer's headphone jack as a monitor? I need to use the boxes headphone jack?

I just recorded two guitar tracks DI and panned one left and one right. One didn't work, I panned it left and it worked. Panned it back right, and it was silent. IDK I'm scratching my head over here.

I'm so excited and can't wait to try it out. It is an ADC right? Will this mean that I will be able to drive a hotter signal without clipping? I ask this because sometimes currently with DI the sound audibly clips while the level stays comfortably within the yellow.

I've read on the PreSonus website that you can use a Firebox (or any other interface they make) as a sound card for all your sounds. They give the way to do it in the FAQs but I can't get it to work for my computer...

Any advice on what to do, maybe plugged something wrong or not doing the good thing on the computer... if any one has done this, how can I do it?

Can someone please tell me, is the Firebox capable of simultaneous recording and playback on its digital in/outs? I have an Edirol FA-101 and found that it can only record OR playback on the digital connections - which makes it hard to use my external mastering gear.
