Alright so I am having trouble deciding which of these interface to purchase to get into recording.
I am currently narrowed it down to a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56, RME Fireface 800 (used), or a Apogee Ensemble (used).
I am looking to record drums with a 4-mic set up.
guys, we were at practice tonight and the mic was plugged into the EVP and began to feedback. It wasn't a heavy feed, though it is never good but we got really concerned when a light began to shine inside the wharfdale amp. No explosions or smoke (thankfully) and the amp still works. It even stumped our local electrician who recently got the power back working.
I've never understood this.
So...I bought an audioarts 8x console, and besides being excited to use its "super mediocre" eqs as remy put I am thinking about how to get the most out of it.
I currently have a 2-bus lt and a monitor st, but will probably want to get rid of them now and sum through the board.
Folks-
Refers to a type of equalizer, where control is available over frequency and gain/cut, but not bandwidth. Many mid-frequency EQ's on budget recording consoles have this kind of EQ.

Hi recently I aquired, at the right price (free) a box known as a UREI model 562 feedback supressor. Looks like a 5 band parametric eq to me.Anyone out there have any familiarity with this piece? Any info greatly appreciated.
