Im going to be opening a recording studio in the near future, and cant decide on what mastering software to use.

I have PT 10 NOT HD and a C24 board. I have Apogeeinterfaces and b2 bomber converters.

(I'm new to the forum and new to recording in general, so I apologize in advance if I ask some dumb/nonsensical questions or use incorrect terminology)

I've been asked to remove a vocal from a backing track. All I can do is remove a big chunk of the frequency spectrum where the vocal sits but obviously this is going to dramatically effect the instrumentation in the backing track.

I was planning on buying a Akai MPD26 MIDI Controller and wanted to incorporate hip hop beats on top of my guitar rhythm that I record. What would be the best software that will allow me to have a diverse amount of hip hop sounds, but also allow me to record like I would normally? Thanks.

I was thinking about getting a Talk Box, but how would I use software MIDI instruments through the device ? I use Logic, if I had the outputs going to the Talk Box then wouldn't all the other tracks be projected through the device as well ? Is there a way to split it into different channels ?



I'm using Logic Pro 9 and M-Box Mini 2

 

I'm gearing up for a music-festival type of thing at my church in a couple of weeks. We like to use a projector to show the song lyrics while the bands are performing. In the past, we've used Microsoft Powerpoint to make the lyrics look pretty. But that takes a lot of work ahead of time to paste the lyrics in and format every individual page.

I have a need to insert an audio watermark (basically an audio file repeating the name of the company) into thousands of audio files. I'm having a hard time finding software that can streamline this batch process. I basically need to merge a single audio file with thousands of others keeping in mind that the lengths of the audio files vary from 7 seconds to around 10 minutes.

Ok I have read, read, and read finally went out and bought some used equipment Digidesign 002 and Pro Tools 8 le. What do I need to get the software to work? I believe it has been loaded on a previous PC, but the guy never uses it anymore and has since uninstalled it. Is there other items besides the Digidesign and software that I need with this?
