Daw software that fits my requirements NOT A NOOB QUESTION
Hi there, I'm consulting for another person's setup. I'm having a little bit of a hard time finding something that will work for them (i'm not charging money or anything, more of doing it as a friend, so don't just make fun of me for not knowing what to look for, haha). Long story short, I use a mac setup, and use mac only software, Now my buddy uses a windows 7 pc with an m-audio 2626.
Recording software dropping out.
Hi guys. I wasn't really sure on which forum to post this in so I just picked this one. Here's my problem. I am trying to edit a song but my software keeps dropping out. As soon as I hit play its plays for like 2-3 milliseconds. It's horrible. There's no way I can edit a song like this. This happens even when I take all of the plugins off. My CPU is barely using 20%.

New to forum - looking for tips for no-software studio
Hi all!
I've been recording for a while now but everything I know is just from fooling around and experimenting on my own. I've been fairly satisfied with my music as a beginner, but I'm ready to take things to the next level. I just don't know how! haha I just have so many questions and I'm hoping the forum community will help me out.
Multitrack Software
Hello,
I am a drummer who does his own recording. I have The DR-DRM7 7-Piece Drum Mic Kit, a ProFX12 Mixer, and Adobe Audition on my PC Laptop.
The ProFX12 Mixer has a USB output that I use to record, and the quality is pretty good.

What music software is easy to use to make beats for vocal recording?
Hello everyone. I'm kind of a n00b here, but my interests are very high, so please excuse my inexperience. I don't even know if I'm in the right forum, but I'm looking for a music program that is:
A) reasonably easy to get into and understand
B) has a variety of options
c) Has the capability to record my vocals
With all of today's technology why haven't DAW software developers come up with...
a single stage recording system. I mean at it's most fundamental level, two stage recording (mix then master) contains one stage more than one might naively believe is necessary.
