I have to say I'm REALLY used to the Sonar environment and its functions. my question is if there's any version in particular I should look for to upgrade to a newer one, of course. 7? 8?

also, and most importantly, would I be able to open my old Sonar 3 files from any newer version? maybe import them?

cheers!

hey people,

i am pretty new to recording. I have recently purchased Sonar 3 producer edition along with a Behringer EUROTRACKUB802.
I am having difficulty getting any sound onto the program.

I have connected the tape out on the mixer into the line in on the soundcard. but there is a very weak signal and very little is getting recorded.

Hi Gang, I'm tracking on a Mackie SDR 2496 and then transferrring files to DAW for mixing. the SDR doesn't offer any sort of rendering, so when I get tracks imported to Sonar, punches show up as seperate takes of the original track, and assigned their own track in Sonar. SDR uses broadcast wave format, which is timestamped.

hi! I'd like to know how I can record the automation in the console view in Sonar 3, since I try it (and have read the manual) but it doesn't help me: It simply won't remember the parameters I moved before.
I remember cakewalk used to have the record button in the console. how do you do it in Sonar?
