Not sure if its out yet... But I bought Sonar 5, and its a great program, but then I found out about Sonar 6...
I should have waited for Sonar 6...
But what is the difference, anything new about it? or is it the same as Sonar 5?
and would it be worth it to buy Sonar 6, or should I just stick with what I have for now.

I am currently using a Tascam FW1804 with Sonar Producer 4, and would like to add some more analog inputs. I am curious if there are issues with using more than one FW interface, or should I be looking at specific brands? I don't want to add another 1804, but am considering a M Audio or Edirol interface.

I have exhausted every trouble-shooting scenario I can think of to get rid of a digital ‘glitch’ coming through my Tascam FW1804, while using Sonar Producer 4, and am hoping someone can help. I will describe the problem and what I’ve done to trouble-shoot below. If you have suggestions please help, as I am hours away from a service center.

I have taken a copy of Sonar 5 from a friend of mine ( a producer ). And I have just installed it. And the only thing I checked out was the synths as you can think. But the synths just won't sound :( I've been trying to play Roland Groove but as I said it won't sound when play with my MIDI keyboard or the keyboard of the laptop itself. I've checked the manual but I couldn't figure it out.

I'm running a Sonar with an oldish PC. Now, I'm having troubles with mixing i.e. dropouts while recording a complete mix. Is there an easy way to give a little help for the poor PC? I'm almost done with mixing but few songs just won't go. So I'm not going to upgrade the PC for this purpose. That will happen later. It's the CPU meter that is running red, not the HD.

aight i got a AKG Perception 200, running SONAR 4, M-audio interface firewire solo, KRK rp-5 monitors.

-everything sounds good, but am not getting that professional feel to it. i know i won't get a professional sound...but damn with all this equipment I have to come close to something people could vibe to...

I was reading a bit of an article on soundonsound.com

It was talking about automating the transport in Sonar. Is there possibly something simple like a USB control that I could hook in to do the deed?

I record in my home with SONAR 5, but i would like some new midi instruments. only problem is i can't go through Cakewalk. Doesn't somebody know of a site i can download new instruments that are compatible with SONAR?

I am thinking of using this to do what i was wanting to do.. that is to record my friends band using their mixer. this comes with hardware that seems to be what i need, but again, I'm not sure cause i know nothing about audio recording. if anyone has any input on this, please let me know. thanks
