I appreciate all of the comments and advice in my several parallel mic threads. Basically, I am having difficulty getting good acoustic sound out of a hodgepdge of mics that are apparently not suited to acoustic guitar.

Motivating this "product" question is my new project, recording two Cellos.
At this time i am planning to use a pair of C 414s in X/Y configuration.

I will not be able to make any A/B comparisons, as i dont have a locker full of microphones ( sigh )

At the request of the members, here is a sticky so that you can all post recent "Success Stories."

Hopefully, the information contained within will help to inspire or even assist in others' future projects.

But any tips about the "making unique", now of each virtually identical versions of my oem OS xp home as in the "systems eyes" or also to my apps well, any dual boot vets please SHOUT AT ME if you will, thanks...
DIFFERENT ISSUE

Anyone out there gotten any decent work done with this card? The Core 2 was my first foray into DAW music making. Talk about a trial by fire...

I've read over this forum and related sites, which all seem to agree that it is "safer" to go with Intel chips and non VIA chipsets.

I was wondering though, is there anyone out there that is using an AMD and/or VIA chipset without ANY problems? If so, what is your system configuration and what type of work are you doing.
