Which order do you advise when recording to analog tape, the following...
The kick drum channel on the mixer would have a noise gate,compression and parametric linked in to the insert.
I was going to do...out of the insert into the Eq into the compressor into the noise gate and back into the desk.
What the best route?

I have two, 212 Craig tape recorders that ran normal, until I used a 9v ac adaptor on both of them, & took out a component that makes it run in ff mode only, no play or rewind. The rewind goes to ff.

I need a tape transfer from an MK20J tape to DVD or HD
Are you able to do this for fee ?

Hello Im Dynamic looking for a mixing & mastering engineer for Hip hop .

Well, not really emulation. Apparently there is a small loop of tape and an actual record and playback head in this thing. So, it's like a small tape saturator. Interesting. At first I thought "this is very cool". Then I thought, at $750 each I could probably by an actual 16 track ATR for the price of just a couple of these(ok, maybe three or four).

I came across some half inch tape today, but dont know what brand it is. My Teac is set up for Ampex 456 and this stuff has white coloured leader tape with the words "Agfa Gevaert Magnet tape" printed on it.
Any ideas chaps?
