Hi all!

So close to what I'm searching for, I wonder if there would be a solution. I'm aware that it would be almost a miracle if I success.

Mac user, I have an old PC Cubase session. I really want to work again on that song. In the first place, I want to rebuild it (the old version is great to me).

Hi,

I have some pretty Advanced technical analog console questions if anyone of you guys know the answer please help me out!

When your signal hits a analog channel on a console.

1) Does it hit the capacitors that are in the console first? and then the signal hits what ever hardware you have on your inserts? or is it after?

Hi all,
my dbx 386 has started giving me some horrendous noises on one channel. I've tried switching the tubes between channel 1 and 2, and the same channel still has the problem, so obviously my tubes are fine. Does anyone know where I might get a hold of some schematics so I can track down the problem?

Alternatively, can anyone suggest where to start looking?

Howdy folks, pls bear with me if this post is unnecessarily long.

I'm trying to buy a few digital voice recorders (DVR) to do some recording. I had previously gotten 2 olympus WS 100, but it didn't turn out to do the specific job that I wanted, especially quality wise. So I am in the market again.

Reducing noisefloor before going digital (technical)

Hi I have a dynamic omni mic and a preamp. The mic is rated 500 ohm impedance and the preamp input is 10k ohm. I read on a website it is ideal for a mic/pre to have a ratio of 1/10 impedances but my setup is 1/20. Im just trying to figure out ways to lower the noise floor before recording as my current noise floor is workable (-51dB) but still a pain when tracking and compressing.

I was wondering how digital amp modelling works, ie. what is the process of creating POD/amplitube/guitar rig? Could anyone give me a technical overview of the subject?
Google wasn't giving me any useful information...It doesn't need to be detailed, just need
to know where to start.
