The Panasonic SV-3800 has coax digital out, optical Out, AES XLR out and balanced analog XLR left and right outputs. We currently are able to use the analog outputs and bring them into our Soundcraft Ui24R.
We have been working on this for the past two and a half years and it is finally finished. My tech wiz, Rhys Davies, built the whole unit himself and wired it. We had lot of changes along the way but it works GREAT and we got exactly what we wanted. S/N -95.5 dBM, Distortion .0005%, Frequency Response 20 t0 20 KHz +/- .5 dB.
I have a large number of reel-to-reel tapes left by my father- in-law. He recorded them at 1 7/8 (i think that's correct, lowest speed possible). Unfortunately, my tape deck, pioneer rt-909, has only 9.5 as the lowest speed. Is it possible to change the capstan (provided i could find one) to be able to play these tapes?

Hey i am going to be setting up a website where people can upload their files, a nas drive, and have dropbox.
At some point the client files need to get over to the main workstation for mixing and editing.
So my isssue is, as far as i know, i cant just run a virus scan while the files are on dropbox, they have to be downloaded, then scanned.

I`m not very techy and it took a long time to learn how to use this machine - I still have a lot to learn - but i`m happy to just be able to put tracks down and mix o.k. creating a decent soundscape . However, once played back on c.d. it sounds o.k.
Hi I have lots of DATs I need to transfer to my laptop. I'm looking for an external soundcard that does a straight digital pass through without resampling, unless told to do so. It needs to have coax in and USB out. Please help with suggestions. I'm open to other ideas to get the music to my laptop without unwanted resampling. Thanks!

So I rigged my turntable to a pedestal with wheels so I can roll it from location to location. I fed the phono preamp to lines in, hit record.
Okay... so, I've got a decent second audio I/O for several days... a friend of mine is letting me use his Focusrite I/O while he's on vacation, so I thought I'd try mixing to a separate DAW.
Questions...
There will be no external analog summing involved, hi voltage or otherwise. So, without this step, should I even bother with mixing to a secondary DAW?
