Micing my Upright Piano...Good Mic recommendations?
Hello, I am new here and wanted some good advice for a MIcrophone to hook up my upright Piano. I am in a recording school right now but won't be in the good classes for atleast a few more months. I want so start laying down tracks NOW! So I know I probably want a condensor Mic. A good one that will get a good full recording. My budget for a Mic is around $400.
A matched pair for drum OH, upright piano & acoustic gui
Hiya all,

Micing Upright Pianos
In my new humble abode – which I won’t be moving into for a few weeks yet – there is a sweet-sounding Yamaha upright piano. For recording, I’ll be rolling it away from the half-height wall it's against, then propping open the top and placing 2 mics pointed down at the strings (the treble mic will be placed closer to the strings, at least at first).

Micing an upright acoustic piano
Well, I've had it with digital pianos and Gigapiano, I just can't get a satisfying sound and realistic dynamics from anything I've tried, so I am buying an upright to use in my recordings, but I have no idea how to place the mikes, or what type of mikes (low budget) I need to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated !
