How do I place an instrument "back" on the virtual stage?
Hi - I mainly use MIDI for orchestral scoring, and my main library (VSL) is completely dry. I've been reading a lot and experimenting and asking friends - I just can't wrap my brain around how to properly set an instrument further back.

Looking for Virtual Instrument with GM support
I've got MIDI drum loop that I would like to use as a guide track. I am looking for virtual instrument that will be able to play it. I am not interested in resource hungry samplers with huge libraries, 'cause I need it as a guide only. Windows Media Player plays midi file using GM module in the soundcard. I just want to do the same but through VST or RTAS instrument. Please advice!

virtual instruments - good sources?
hi all, for the first time I'm looking at getting some sampled virtual instruments - acoustic things like Vibes, harp, koto, harmonium, hurdy gurdy.
There seem to be lots of this kind of thing around, but I'm wondering which are the best quality?
I've seen Miroslav and Quantum Leap RA which are expensive enough to be good!
Any ideas?
Cheers, Giles

Virtual inst. for guitar vs. . real amps in final recordings?
Hello all,
I have been using NI's Guitar Rig for a while now for quick and decent sounding guitar tracks when recording song demos. Music I generally tend to create are more on the punk rock/nu-metal spectrum.
