I have a WAV file, 348mb. It won't open in any program, but i can listen to it in the import file dialogue box of CuBase LE. when I import it the time code reads as 0:00:00 start and 0:00:00 end. it is approx 30 minutes long

any ideas how I can recover the sound or open the file?

Hi,
I use a Fostex MR-8HD as a court reporter, meaning for recording mostly conversations. I like the multi-channel thing, is ideal when lawyers interrupt eachother.

I run PT LE and am looking at buying some instrument sample files over the net.

As I have always recorded mainly acoustic instrumet, and have no experience to speak of with samples, could anyone give me a little info on using these .wav and acid samples, particularly with PT LE.

Any help would be very much appreciated. 8-)

I need to cut up some shows I recorded. Does anyone have any recomendations for software to do this? I cannot find and easy way to do this.

the files are act files and i need to concert them so i can listen to them on my comp.

i have tried the act2wav and konverter programs, but nothing works.

I'm using Adobe Audition 2.0, recording with sample rate of 48000; resolution 32 bit float. I need to send a wav file with the following format, 16 bit, 8000 Hz sample rate, 128 kbps. I see where the 8 khz and 16 bit are achieved but how do I get the 128k kbps ?

I remember exporting my projects to. wav file from FILE menu. But I have re-installed it and I cannot do it anymore. Its export only one channel.

How can I fix it?

Is there any good freeware or cheap software which will rip straight from vinyl into standard mp3 or wav so I won't have to adjust anything like volume levels, bitrates, sampling e.t.c?
