Opinions on best low price monitors? I have a Korg D1600 16 Track and am looking for a pair of inexpensive monitors. Starting with lowest possible price on up. Thanks.

A while ago there was a discussion about the NS1000 monitors.

I remembered a store in a town nearby that has a couple of Yamaha monitors. This store has kind of a weird owner.

The Yamaha speakers are there in a corner of that store for a very long time, at least twenty years and these are brand new speakers of 20-25 years old.

And Lord, what a package to get. The guy packed them really well. They were big, and lucky that because (surprise) FedEx treated them like they contained blank newsprint or Saddams' new Waterford crystal, or something.

They've seen some use, but they work. They are unmatchd, and I'm going to get a break-in CD. (Suggestions on which one, and where to get it, anyone?)

What is your take on the Tannoy active reveal monitors? I did a search and no one seemed to speak of these. Maybe I over looked the threads.

Compare, contrast.

I have NS-10M's. Is there any reason for me to sell my 10M's and Reveals (and eat the extra $ difference) for 1000M's?
