You need to flatten your room first.

TVPostSound is correct. I personally do not believe in trying to add active equalization to studio monitors. The speakers that you select should sound relatively good to begin with. If they don't, it's most likely your room? Active equalization does more to screwup your sound of your monitors than anything else. It does not correct for poor room acoustics.
