Whats going on? I know I'm new to the forum and all, but I've been in the game for so long, man, I'm kinda getting fed up with everyone telling me to get a real job. Whats a real job anyway man? I'd rather mess around with my new M box then freaking flip burgers over a flame, you know what I'm saying? Man! I just want to be heard, you know! I'm damn good at the controls, and I write my own stuff (I'm sure most of you guys do to!), why can't I be the next George Martin with The Beatles, huh? Do any of you guys have any tips on getting my stuff heard? I've been passing around my stuff for so many years, I'm fed up man. I just checked out that new program Inside Sessions, I'm sure you guys have heard of it. Its actually pretty informative, I bought the Music Business session, and I got to hear like secrets from Glen Ballad, A & R's, and a bunch of artists that discuss how they got in the business and what it takes to succeed. I thought it was a bunch of BS at first, but I gave it a chance and found it to be very informative. I would most definitely recommend it to any up and coming producer to peep out. Now that I have shared a secret with you guys, what can ya'll tell me about the game?

There is a hard fact in the music biz: its a big money industry and the majors are interested in making big money. So they push only a few products and want to sell millions of copies of these few products. Is this artistry? Of course not. It is a big money enterprise, nothing else. My opinion.
Hundred of thousands starve or barely make it and a select few make the big bucks. Again, thats my opinion.
We need to be quite strong and self sufficient in order to survive this.
I wish you all the luck and success in your music.

Their are so many angles. I would love to hear your projects and forget radio stations. Do you gig?
Many used CD stores will handle your product for a cut of the action. I heard a band once..and basically twisted their arm to record and produce their entire album for free. Once we got the 10,000 CD's, Tee shirts and other para in stock, we sold out. Almost sold out of second pressing as well. I did not ask for a cut..but their subsequent albums are paying gigs..and their is one on the stove as we speak. I say that giging, selling CD's on gigs is a good way. I made SURE we did not record anything they could not do live. That was the key. The live performance and the CD are virtually identical..in every way.
What have you done to promote yourself??
We have No where radio...right here..
