Well I'm sure this one has been asked a billion times, but, I've just mixed an album and copied the songs onto my computer, nearly ready to burn to CD. Are there any tips or tricks I could employ with the EQ or compression to add the finishing 'fairy dust' to make the songs sound as professional as possible. I'm applying this to heavy rock music and I'd like the songs to sound as loud as possible too. Thanks.

After having been advised by someone I got and have been using the TCMasterX plugin. This is good for that instant fix. Proffessionaly I would advise a good mastering enginneer , but for that immediate "at home" "in your face" sound , I have found this plugin and its presets to be very interesting.
