No one has any opinion on this monitor system ?

My partners and I share 2 rooms here. "My" room has a pair of JBL 4412 monitors, plus some assorted hi-fi type of speakers to check mixes on. The other room has a Blue Sky system- don't know the model, but it's the biggest one they make. Both the other guys have the same system in each of their homes. They sound great, have not given them one bit of trouble, and their clients love what gets mixed on them. They are not as "in your face" as my JBLs, but they sure do work well.
I don't know how the smaller systems Blue Sky produces sound, but if these babies are any indication, I wouldn't hesitate to get them. I am a bit confused that they get such high marks from very nice facilities (Skywalker, etc.), but you really don't see them on the market here in the States much. I think that they are a well-kept secret!

I found them a joy to work on, and they gave complimentary mixes when ABing on Genelecs and Dyunaudio's. They sound closer to Dynes than Genelecs. I like them better than Genelecs. Why? I just do...nicer to mix on, better translation out of the box (i.e with little to no getting used to) and they went loud enough for my loud mix checks (just :) )

The room was treated so bare that in mind. I was using the 5.1 system with only the front two engaged, thus similar to 2.1 system if not the same.

I have a pair mediadesk 2.1 and really like them a lot. For the money they
are a best buy in my book.

I have a set of ProDesk 2.1 monitors, they are a bit bigger than the MediaDesk, but I have to say I think they are very nice. I got them about a year ago. They are the only monitors I have ever used so bear in mind that I haven't compared them to others like some more seasoned audio pros might have. Overall I have been very impressed by them and would easily rate their sound quality 5 out of 5. They are very easy to listen to, and in my opinion, still very accurate. One side note- my left speaker has developed a resonant buzz at louder volumes and I need to call their customer service to find out what to do now. So there may be some longevity or QC issues, but I will test out their warranty service and let you know.

I used the system at another studio in July 04. They translated my material impeccabally.. One of they few system I would buy..if I were not already well "speakered"

I've been mixing on a ProDesk 2.1 system for the past 6 months and love it. They do a great job of accurately reproducing across the entire spectrum. I have yet to experience any ear fatigue and the low end has a very tight response.

Have heard the System One (the larger system) has a more bright attenuation and some blind spots that were worked out in the ProDesk series.

No experience with the MediaDesk series, however, if anything like the ProDesk, it is an excellent product at a great value.

In this day and age, you really cannot go wrong by going with 2.1 monitor setups. Personally, I will never return (but of course, always keep a pair handy for reference when mixing).
