I have been thinking about getting "The Brick" and an AT-4040 to record vocals with my current setup a Tascam FW-1884 w/ ADA8000. Is it worth the $450 price tag for the brick? I am looking for something to warm up my vocals and guitar tones.

What have you read that has changed your mind? I've been doing a lot of mic tests/experiments using a Brick and I think they sound pretty good.
