Thanks I appreciate that, but was wondering what was the cause of those crappy sounds.
Personally I use the Wavelab MP3 encoder without a hitch.

The "swishing" phasey sound is caused by the encoders inability to reconstruct the algorythum of the actual track. this usually happens at 112 and below. It is an old anomily of a poor constructed MP3.

I have tried to use the Wavelabe encoder and I must say
It is worth ZEEERRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at least for me.

I just won't use it....... 8-)

If you encode using something like the the Music match Juke box

you cymbals will sound tighter and less phasy

Yes, dbPowerAMP uses the LAME encoder, the best damn encoder on the planet.. and, it's totally free- no excuse for crappy mp3s. Check [[url=http://[/URL]="http://lame.sourcef…"]this list[/]="http://lame.sourcef…"]this list[/] of programs that use LAME.
