Wonder how many of you appreciate these? My family has one and although they don't know how to string it it totally rocks.

I have a 3/4 scale Longhorn ... it's a Korean reissue but I really like it a lot. I love the lipstick pick ups and the fact that it's sooooo light!

I play it 3 or 4 times a week and everytime, I am amazed at how well it plays and intonnates, in spite of it costing less than $350! Last week a guy was sitting in with us and he remarked that I was getting a killer tone.

Heh - I have one of those in 'Nifty Aqua'. It just always sounds great. For a real retro feel and sound I've strung mine with Rotosound Jazz Bass strings. These are flatwound and available in short scale. The code is RS77S and the gauge is 40 • 50 • 75 • 90. My other bass is a Musicman copy, alot grungier and hard hitting.

Gambit, thank you for the string info. We have been considering changing string brands on the Dano but the TI Jazz flats will not fit. The tiny guitar like tuning pegs make it somewhat difficult to find good strings.

I will try your suggestion and report back when I get a chance to restring the bass~!

Thanks again Gambit!
