I would like to draw in volumes and mutes with the mouse. I can do this but it quantizes to the nearest beat and the music I'm working on is free form. I need to draw the automation without snapping to the nearest beat. I can't find how to do this in the manual. If someone could help me turn of the quantization of the automation or clue me in to where to look in the manual I would really appreciate it.

there's a little check box top right in the edit window..deselec
there's a little check box top right in the edit window..deselect it and your free from the grid
alternately.. you can hold down the option key while placing nodes to temporarily disengage the grid.
If it's not the option key then try apple key (can't remember right now)
