Dual G5 and experiences

I am thinking of getting a dual G5 2GHZ with the PCI slots.

I have heard of some problems with both the PCI slots (m-audio, TC powercore) and some problems with the PCI-X slots with incompatibility.

I plan to use a Multiface in conjunction with a Fireface through core audio.

Can people please tell me their experiences with either of the Dual Macs and let me know if I can expect any problems.

go to the rme newsgroup, there has been detailed discussion about the issue of pci compatibility in the new macs g5

i haven't had any issues with my pci slot... dual 1.8

but there are plenty of uprisings in concern of pci-x with uad cards and powercore...

search for uad and go to their forums and you will see a beast of postings and resolves...

oh, btw - UAD plug ins sound f*ckin great... even if you can only run a few, those few will turn your mix into something wonderful

Have you been able to use your UAD with the Dual 1.8?

I am really interested in something like that. I am still waiting on my Fireface before I get the MAC up and running.
