I think orange amps are phenomenal. Really thick. I've played an AD30 head and a Rockerverb 50 combo. Depending on which model you want, I'd try to keep the wattage low. They sound great cranked. Good Luck!

Those are kinda what I was looking at. I was really considering the 50 watt rockverb combo with the 2- 12" cab. I think it would be just about right for recording and live gigging.

I agree! The whole "more wattage mentality" has gotten way out of hand. What good is an amp that only sounds great at arena rock volumes? You can really crank the AD30 w/o blowing anyone's head off.

Ok my question is: does the Rocker 30 combo have the same sound as the Rokverb 50 combo/head? I am looking for pure Kick a$$ tone. I don't mind miking up for a live gig and it will also be used for recordings. Plus it can probably save me some dough to buy a smaller setup.
