The MP-1 & MP-2 aren't being made anymore, but Gaines Audio seem to make good quality gear for little cash?
Anyone used their pres or other gear? The MP-2 seems to be in a few decent studios, racked with more well known preamps.

Make sure you aren't confusing the many different pre's labeled "MP-2". Great river makes a great nevesque solid state one. A design's makes a clean tube one that I'm fond of, and endorse. Benchmark has a module version called the mp-2. And so on and so forth.
