I am going to buy monitors this weekend and I have about 1000.00 to spend :?: I'm thinking Genelec 1029 or Mackie 624. Small studio (12x14) any other choices come to mind for anybody? I know this is an old topic but everybody has to learn. Thanks folks!

Take several of your best known and favorite pieces of music to compare the two.Be sure and find out what the dealers return policy is.Maybe theres going to be a couple of weeks where you can listen in your own environment before deciding for sure.I love my 1029's but I also have the 1081 sub.
