I am having trouble with DR-008 in Sonar. I can play the synth real time with my keyboard without any problems. Also, the synth will play back midi data perfectly.

However, while recording midi through the DR-008, I hear no audio. The corresponding audio track(s) which had been showing levels before pressing record, now show nothing. Before I press record, when the arm is activated, I can still hear audio. But as soon as recording starts, no audio is heard while midi is recording.

Is this normal?

I can get around the problem by creating a second midi track not assigned to the DXi synth, and set that to the same midi channel so it will record the midi while I play through the other track/channel.

Anyone have any advice?
