I am completely alien to this midi world, but have bought a midi controller pedal in order to trigger my sampler. I have read the instructions and each time it only seems to result in a stabbing pain in my head.

Can anyone help? I'm sure that once i have managed to get the controller to speak to the sampler the rest will follow pretty easily - I just need someone to give me a nudge in the right direction.
