Hi there, yes you really need to listen deeply to the emulations across mixes
I first used it for mixing duties and now I have my favourites, there is quite a lot of colour in that box. It is impossible to say use XYZ emulation in the same way as you cannot say use a "Manley Vari Mu" or a "Chiswick Reach" or a whatever as the source material dictates what is required.

Play music and listen to what happens to good and bad mixes with all of the emulations, no shortcuts I am afraid, this is what learning is all about.
Without learning which takes time you do not know.

It's great fun to find out yourself too, listening to music with intent is hardly working in a coalmine is it?

I assume thats an allusion to the limitations at 88k? I usually work at 44.
