I am using the MBox with a Toshiba Laptop. I am buying a new external firewire hardrive. Need to know if anyone has any opinions on which hard drive would be better. LaCie or Ezquest. I can't afford a glyph or other over priced units. Any suggestions?
I also want to make sure these both work with Pro Tools. I was told most Hard drives with Oxford chipsets will work...

But that is just my $.02........
You are correct about the Oxford chipsets. If you can find drives with 922 chipsets that is prefered over the older 911s. Also look for 8MB cache and 7200 RPM......:)
