I've recently linked my Mac to an HDR 24/96. I use an ethernet hub, to which I also have PC's connected. They all communicate through a DSL Router. You need to set up TCP/IP on your Mac, specifying the required IP address, subnet mask, and gate. If you are using a router, the gate address is that of the router. Do the same on the HDR. Everything should then link.
My own problem now is that when I try to import the files into Pro Tools, they aren't recognized as valid formats, even though I've rendered them as aif files in the HDR. Any suggestions out there? I'm getting frustrated!
Sincerely,
Mark
Don't know about it for positive, but I think I read that PT5.x
Don't know about it for positive, but I think I read that PT5.x was expecting some implementation dependent info. Try the PT forum on this board, or over on protalk, perhaps, unless someone who know more than me jumps in here.
I do know that I ftp'd some wav files to my PC from theHDR and imported them into PT-Free without problems, so I doub;t it's the ftp itself that's causing your problem.
