Hello All,
I am having some problems with my mic setup in my studio, the two mics I use for vocals as of right now are the RODE NT1-A Condenser Mic and an SM58, I have people who record hip hop and rap and whenever I have both mics on and switch between using one or the other there is a sharp static that cuts out the vocals. The static comes when using either mic and I can not figure out what is the source of this noise. I was wondering if neone has experienced similar occurrences and if you have, have you been able to solve the problem.
The mics are at close range with each other and the rest of my system if that has nething to do with it.
Thanks,
G

Dave,
All I mean is that both mics are plugged in to the Firepod, but when the person doing vocals starts using the condenser after using the SM58 (one mic is set up for use while sitting down and the other one is for use while standing) then that static occurs. It doesn't seem to make sense because they are not even being recorded together or on the same track or through the same input.
Thanks for help.
