I use a Calrec 2050 aimed at the body just behind the bridge. Saw one other mention for this mic further up the postings - I thought I was the only person left still using these!
Also noted the popularity of the AKG 451. Mine are really old and tend to add their own pops and squeaks when they feel like it, but maybe I should dust them off and get them going again, Anyone got any tips on refurbishing them?
Oh, and a Beyer M201 sounds great on a Dobro, if we're allowed to include them. You need something as loud as a Dobro to get over the puny output of the 201. Great mic, just needs another 6-10dB output!
For my own little Martin acoustic, The AKG C 4000B/C 391B combination is just incredible. Their new reissued C 451 B pencil condenser is very nice too!
