Hi folks

Just registered on the forum. I'm from the caribbean, and only recently entered the world of recording and composing. I do look forward to discussions here.

I am a complete novice, and can only learn from you guys.

My first question is, I just completed a piece using Anvil Studio. But when I used a MIDI converter, there were some very obvious differences to the original. Can someone please advise me on the best way to convert A midi file to MP3 without changing the sound of the original MIDI file?

thanks

What where the differences?

some notes were shortened, faster tempo, rythm breaks that was not in the original composition etc.

Are you sure that it wasn't the mp3 format that caused this change in the sound?

probably i worded my post wrongly. when i converted the midi file to mp3, it changed. therefore, yes, it was the mp3 format that caused the change.
