Hey there
This may be a really dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyway.
I'm a radio producer, and I use soundscape at the station; however, One of the other producers here uses Pro Tools and loves it. Well I've played with it and really like it too so I'm planning on getting a Digi 002 for my home studio.
My question is I have been using Nuendo for a while and now that I'm switching over to Pro Tools I'm wondering if my VST plugins I've purchased will work with Pro Tools? I have the WAVES Gold and Renessonce bundles, and I really like using them but I can't seem to find anything saying if Pro Tools LE 6.9 is VST compatable. Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers!
Jay

The reason I want to switch to Pro Tools is that I find it to be more user friendly than Nuendo. I do like Nuedno but I'd rather work with pro tools. Just personal preference I guess. It's funny you mention SAW. I do have that as well at home, but stopped using it quite a while ago. I don't like that you can't automate your effect sends. Put a flanger on a track and everything on it is effected, so then you need to use more tracks. Also another reason for Pro Tools, I just got a really good deal on a lightly used Yamaha 03D (good deal as in FREE, benifits of station upgrading) and it has a optical I/O card for ADAT style interfaces. I'm currently using a M-Audio Delta 1010 which dosn't allow for Optical connections so time to up grade in that department as well. I also will be able to use the 03D as a Control surface for Pro Tools as well which I'm quite excited about. Thanks again guys

If you bought the Waves Native plugs, you should have the RTAS plugs as well. You can't use VST with PT, only the RTAS. What will Protools give you that Nuendo wont? Keep in mind, everything for PT is more expensive. Most people I know in radio are still using SAW.
