I everyone,

I could really use some advice on this one, basically I'm running a cable from my dj mixer into my computer sound card (sound blaster) and I can't get it to record my mix. I had wavelab working before but I had to uninstall everything off my computer, since I've put everything back on I can't seem to get the record funtion to work, my settings check out, my line in isn't on mute, and the fact it was working before is what's confusing. .I feel it might be a settings issue, but I'm not sure where to look, if someone could help me I'd be grateful.

Thanks!

I didn't care for Wavelab, since it basically wanted to take control of my entire system. I had to reformat my drive five times after fatal crashes. It took two weeks of relentless questioning on their forum for the moderatlor to finally admit it was the software causing the problem. I've since sold it on ebay. That being said, I know many people who use it and love it. I think it's a question of system specs as to how well it does or doesn't work (ie brand of motherboard, etc.....). My system is pretty darned fast with lots of drive space and respectable memory. I run Sonar 3.1.1 with no problems. My advice is find another application. I didn't like Steinberg's attitude when it came to looking for help.

Thanks for the replys. Jonyoung it sounds like the problems you've gone through is similar to what I'm experiencing now, I feel it could be the software also, I mean if I got it to work before, and now it's giving me trouble, that's just plain weird, it's a bit of a pain to find another software program, but I may give it a shot!

I got lucky. The computer I bought came loaded with Nero CD Burning software. There's a wave editor in it, that with an upgrade to the latest version, will support Dx and VST plug ins, do crossfades, essentially 95% of what Wavelab does for a fraction of the cost. You might want to check it out. Nero 6.1 is about $100 new.
