obviously you are only recording on one side- check yor mics, cables, interface....??? It could be anywhere in your chain. You are gonna have to do some detective work yourself and find it

Create a mono track. record onto track. pan to the middle.

Haha, I'll give it a shot.

I'm running a line out from the mono output in a Line 6 Vetta amp. I'm connecting the amp to the computer through a 1/8 converter in to a mic jack (hey, it gets the job done, right? lol). My computer has 2 mic inputs; one in the front panel and one in the rear. I noticed that when I hook it up to the rear input it picks up the signal on the right and the mic input in the front panel picks up the signal that plays out of the left speaker. I'm assuming that has somethign to do with it because I never had the problem before only my older computer that only had one mic jack in the back.

Hopefully that makes my situation a little clearer.

Well there you go, that's all we needed to know. Your problem is that you are feeding a mono signal into a stereo plug without any kind of splitter. Get this: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/YMP233/
and you can pick whether you want to use the left channel, the right channel, or both (with a stereo source). You can choose in your recording software how the inputs are routed to the tracks.
If your computer has a line input rather than mic input, I would recommend using that. If you get a recording soundcard like the M-audio Audiophile many troubles will be saved.
