ok, so heres the problem ... me and my band are trying to record one of our songs, we recorded one of the guitars first (cause our drummer doesn't know the exact # of times each part is played yet.), and then the drummer recorded his part. then when the second guitarist recorded his part, it winds up being really off even though when he is playing and listening to the rest of the song through the headphones, it sounds fine. can some one help me with this?
-for recording the guitars i'm Micing a guitar amp . coiuld the problem be delay from the amp to the mic?
please

You have either 1. a computer latency problem or 2. you're monitoring the wrong signal when going to record.
Either is a relatively easy fix.
Figure out the amount of latency - RTFM, check the software's forums for settings, etc.... and adjust playback according to line up prerecorded tracks
OR
Monitor the correct signal when recording.
sounds like a letnecy issue what are you recording wiht?
