The best low priced power amp IMO is the Hafler P3000 ... They are 150 watts @ 8n ohm load ... You can find these used all day long for around $250.

Ditto on the P3000. It's just one of those products that is long on the bang and short on the buck. Sounds rather good too.

Used Crown PS-200 or PS-400. great amps that are now terrific bargins. (no fan required)

If you can find the P3000 for $250 that's what I'd do. If not, you can buy the Hafler TA1600 for $200 new. Mine has served me well.
