1. This will probably function, but you will suffer degraded performance. Digital audio connections require a proper termination impedance (75 or 110 ohms). If you mult or Y your outputs, you will alter this impedance. My advice: do not Y your outputs.

There are several brands of digital routers that will "multipy" a s/pdif input to more than one output. I've got a Z-Sys detangler, I think Lucid makes one, & others... not as cheap as a Y cord but they work.

I used to plug an Pod pro / Bass pod / GNX2 / Focusrite PVMP (all S/P DIF out) into a 4 way radio shack A/V selector using the 75 ohm video channel. It worked really well.

You originally from Oklahoma? That sounds like what us rednecks down here would do! Yes, I'm guilty of using a cheap A/V selector for s/pdif connections in emergencies. Did it at church once and freaked the pastor out (he thinks everything should be done right all the time, even when its 3 minutes 'til showtime). I used the $13 one from K-Mart though...

Na, Ok sounds nice but Im a Geordy mate, originally from Newcastle in the NE of England !!

Though Im a firm believer that a wire brush and Clorox can solve all your home recording problems !!

I've got one of my Behringer Truths being held together with duct tape and baling wire. Its sounds like the cab is a little more solid now.

Oh and in response to there being a Mastering Lab here, I don't think there is. I'm sorry if I implied somewhere that I have a mastering lab. I just have an analog project studio (no DAW, just 2" tape and a 36" 2x4 with inches (30 inches roughly centered) marked so I can locate beats for editing).

I have gone the BNC bulkhead route. Just picked up an old panel on eb*y with 28 of them in it for 18.99 There's still some left!!

I will put these on a 1u panel and just use spdif to BNC connectors to the back of this panel, and use BNC patch cables for the front.
