Hi everyone!

I am finally moving to computer based recording. I sold my car and am spending the majority of that money on recording gear. My first purchase was a brand new Macbook Pro, dedicated mostly to recording. Now that I have a solid computer, I am looking into different interfaces and recording software.

I am really interested in the Digi 003 Factory Bundle and just wanted to get some real opinions on it. Are the extra plugins worth the extra cash over the vanilla rack version? Also, how does Pro Tools stack up against programs like Cubase/Nuendo? I am buying all of this to record my bands EP, and want to make sure I am getting the best sound quality possible.

Finally, should I expect any compatability issues with the 003 and my Santa Rosa MBP? I am also picking up an external HD specifically for recording, and am wondering if thats all I need to get started. Thanks!
