Sebatron ,

Been looking very closely at your 2 channel unit and have read great things. In the next couple of months, I will be recording only vocals in the genre of Southern Gospel music (kind of like modern country). I am seriously considering the vmp-2000 but am worried that it may be too colored, kind of designed for Rock vocals. Could you give me some info as to the kind of color to this unit? Fat, "fluffy", soft, is good; dark is not. Thanks!

It definitely serves its practical function of what it needs to be ,,, which is a preamp.
It looks like a cool piece of gear , I’d love to own one myself.
It doesn’t look like a Big Mac or an Alesis.
…nor does it sound like a Behringer or Mackie ( Avalon etc. ) or some other sort or transparent preamp that you may already have….
I don’t think it sounds like a Harris Tweed.
It is an ORIGINAL CIRCUIT .
It has its own sound.
It sounds like a SEBATRON.

Warm and open yet not overly 'airy' unless you want it to be.
Not Harsh , Slow or Synthetic.
